The last blog!

This week we completed putting bondo on the car and sanding it down. We will continue to work on the solar car for the rest of the school year and during the summer. This is the last blog for the 2014-2015 school year, a big thanks from the Hunt family to Mr.Martin, we can't wait for the Solar Car Challenge in Texas! 

Communications Check

This week we picked up the radios from SEI communications. this week we plan to finish design on the roll cage add on's, and also finish wiring the bottom of the cars accessory's.

Ice cream?

This week we removed the roll cage in the solar car to take to Jessie's shop. We made plastic permanent switch covers and installed the new battery boxes. 

New hardware

This week we plan to install the new battery boxes that we received from thermal concepts. Our goals is to plan out other things on the car that need fabrication in order to be done for the race in July. Hopefully the car will be looking better than ever.

Battery boxes!

This week we completed wiring all of the accessories to the bus bar and today we are getting in our battery boxes! Finally! After school the solar knights are having a final meeting to go over the specifics of the solar car challenge. We can't wait to race this summer! 

Finishing the bottom

This week because of testing, we will have 3 days to work on the car and are almost finished with the bottom half. this is great news because we will start working on the new cells. The solar car challenge is coming up so we are booking our hotel rooms and food expenses.

Super test days!

This week Jasen and Kirsten came in during the super testing days after school to work on the car. They completed removing all of the old cells with the help of Parker and JD.
